Besides carbon, it also contains a small amount of elements such as silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), sulfur (S), and phosphorus (P). Among them, the content of manganese is generally around 0.30% - 0.65%, which can enhance the strength and toughness of the steel. Sulfur and phosphorus are harmful elements, and their contents in Q235 steel are strictly controlled. The sulfur content shall not exceed 0.050%, and the phosphorus content shall not exceed 0.045% to prevent the steel from experiencing hot brittleness and cold brittleness phenomena.
Mechanical Properties: Q235 seamless pipes possess good strength and toughness. Its yield strength is generally not lower than 235 MPa, and its tensile strength ranges from 375 MPa to 500 MPa. This enables it to withstand certain axial pressure and tension, and it can play a stable load-bearing role in various engineering structures. Meanwhile, its elongation rate is not lower than 26% (under the condition of the tensile test with the gauge length being five times the diameter), indicating that the pipes have good plastic deformation ability and can undergo a certain degree of plastic deformation without breaking when subjected to external forces.
Seamless Structure Features: Seamless pipes are directly made from solid billets through processes such as piercing and have no welds. Compared with welded steel pipes, Q235 seamless pipes have a more uniform stress distribution on the pipe wall when bearing internal pressure and will not have the stress concentration phenomenon caused by weld quality problems. This makes it have higher safety and reliability in high-pressure environments. For example, in pipeline systems for transporting high-pressure liquids or gases, it can effectively prevent pipeline rupture
