The renovation of this old house celebrates the harmonious blend of old and new. Preserving the original architectural elements while introducing modern design elements creates a captivating contrast. Project Concept
The concept of this interior design process was to honor the client's sentimental attachment to the old house by preserving key architectural elements. The goal was to create a space that would evoke fond memories of the client's happy childhood spent at his grandma's house. By carefully integrating these cherished elements with modern design elements, we achieved a harmonious balance between nostalgia and contemporary living.The result is a space that not only reflects the client's personality.
Project Highlights
Maximizing space and functionality, our design includes custom built-in furniture that optimizes every corner. These personalized pieces reflect the client's style, while providing storage solutions and a streamlined aesthetic. Our meticulous craftsmanship ensures efficient utilization of space and showcases the client's unique personality.
Spatial Composition
Seamless indoor-outdoor flow: Floor-to-ceiling windows unite interiors and exteriors, creating a harmonious composition.
Materials & Processing Technology
Enhancing the natural ambiance: original brickwork is retained, wood accents are added, and black metal frames are introduced for a striking contrast and a heightened sense of visual allure.
Floor Plan
The initial floor plan design effectively divides the spaces and establishes a clear relationship between them. The circulation flow in the house is well-defined, ensuring easy movement and accessibility throughout.
Interior Renderings
Preserving the allure of the past: The curved brick ceiling seamlessly integrates with modern furniture and a carefully selected color palette, resulting in a harmonious and inviting atmosphere.

A dining room that embodies harmony: The carefully curated color palette, choice of materials, and textures create a cohesive and unified ambiance, showcasing the room's distinctive character.
Construction Drawing - Flooring Detail
The floor plan reveals the existing walls, indicating their as-built positions, as well as the modified walls that have been edited to accommodate the desired layout. The plan clearly delineates the various zones, including the entrance, rooms, kitchen, living area, dining room, and toilet, providing a comprehensive overview of the spatial arrangement.
Construction Drawing - Ceiling Plan
The ceiling plan illustrates the varying heights within the space, with the highest point representing the old part of the building where the plaster and stucco have been removed to reveal the original brick. This deliberate design choice showcases the architectural heritage of the space and adds a unique visual element to the overall composition.
Construction Drawing - Electrical Layout Plan
The lighting plan showcases the strategic placement of artificial light sources throughout the space, including linear lights, spotlights, suspensions, and wall lights. The electrical plan outlines the locations of electrical outlets throughout the space, taking into consideration the practical needs of the occupants.
