Project Concept
Cocoon House, a minimal modern residential apartment designed with a writer in mind. Simplicity, task lighting, and modernity were key elements. A serene space where the writer can find solitude, inspiration, and focus. The name Cocoon House reflects the client's childhood fascination with butterflies, symbolized by a collection of framed butterflies displayed within. The design embodies a cocoon-like ambiance, allowing the writer's thoughts to emerge beautifully. It's a sanctuary for creativity
Project Highlights
Thoughtfully designed lighting enhances the ambiance of this project. Dimmable task lights from top Italian brands, such as Luceplan, provide the client with the flexibility to adjust the intensity and color of the light in different areas. Whether for work or relaxation, the client can create the perfect atmosphere, aligning lighting with their mood and the time of day. A harmonious blend of artificial light brings comfort and functionality to every corner of the living space.
Spatial Composition
The kitchen underwent a complete renovation, divided into two distinct parts. The kitchen area features a minimalistic design with clean lines, showcasing a white and gray color palette. No additional accessories were added to maintain a sleek aesthetic. On the other hand, the breakfast area offers a colorful and cozy ambiance, creating a warm and inviting space for a delightful start to the day.
Materials & Processing Technology
In line with the modern style, the floor of the living room and other areas features a cement texture using microcement material. This choice creates a seamless flow as the texture extends to the walls of the living room area. The remaining space is kept simple with a white color scheme. To add warmth, wooden furniture pieces are incorporated, complemented by vibrant red carpets that provide a touch of boldness and contrast to the overall design.
Floor Plan
The open plan design of the space allows each area to fulfill its purpose while maintaining a sense of unity. A wall separating the kitchen from the living room establishes a clear boundary while maintaining a roomy, open feel. The difference in lighting and furniture further delineates the distinct areas, ensuring functionality and visual appeal.
