Project Background
WE STARTED WITH GROUND WORKS TO MAKE READY THE FOUNDATION. A STRIP FOUNDATION WAS USED FOR THE WORKS. CONCRETE BLINDINGS WERE LAID TO PREPARE THE GROUND FOR THE STRIP FOOTINGS.
THE OVERSITE CONCRETE (GERMAN FLOOR) WAS ALSO DONE TO ENSURE THAT GROUND WATER DOES NOT DISTURB INTERIOR WORKS AND ENSURE THAT THE BUILDING IS MORE DURABLE.
Project Highlights
WE EMPLOYED THE USE OF POLYSTERENE FOR THE CEILINGS BECAUSE OF ITS ABILITY TO BE EASILY CUT INTO BESPOKE PIECES FOR THE SPACES,ITS ABILITY TO NOT CRACK AND THE EASE OF INSTALLATION IN GOOD TIME.
MOST OF THE ARCHITRAVES AS WELL AS THE FASCIA WERE ALL DONE USING POLYSTERENE. THE ARTISANS ALSO FOUND THE MATERIAL VERY EASY TO WORK WITH WITH SINCE ITS NOT HEAVY AND CAN BE EASILY MALLEABLE.
WE EMPLOYED PORCELAIN TILES IN MOST OF THE SPACES TO ENSURE DURABILITY AND STRENGTH.
Spatial Composition
THE PROJECT WAS MADE UP OF THE FOLLOWING SPACES: LIVING ROOM DINING BEDROOM 1& 2 MASTER BEDROOM THREE BATHROOMS FOR THE THREE ROOMS A KITCHEN AND STORE A VISITOR'S RESTROOM
Materials & Processing Technology
POLYSTERENE STRIPS CUT FROM THE FACTORY FOR ALL THE FASCIAS AROUND THE BUILDING'S PERIMETER.
CEMENT AND OTHER BINDING MATERIALS FOR THE POLYSTERENE CEILING, FASCIA AND ARCHITRAVES.
POLYSTERENE STRIPS CUT FROM THE FACTORY FOR ALL THE FASCIAS AROUND THE BUILDING'S PERIMETER.
POLYSTERENE FACTORY MADE DESIGNS FOR THE TELEVISION MEDIA UNITS. THIS WAS TO FORM THE FOCAL POINT FOR THE LIVING ROOM.
Floor Plan
THE FLOOR PLAN WITH ALL SURROUNDING SPACES WAS DONE WITH RESPECT TO ALL BUILDING CODES AS DIRECTED BY ARCON, COREN, FCDA AND THE DEVELOPMENT CONTROL.

Interior Renderings
A HIP ROOF WAS USED TO GIVE MAXIMUM PROTECTION FROM WEATHER ELEMENTS AS WELL AS GIVE THE PROJECT AN INTERESTING FACADE WHICH WOULD MATCH WITH THE MODERNISM STYLE THAT WE DECIDED TO ACHIEVE USING THE FEATURES OF GOOD ROOM FOR NATURAL VENTILATION & LIGHTING
NATH OASIS IS AN ARCHITECTURAL AND INTERIOR DESIGN JOB THAT WAS DONE AT KARU, ABUJA. WE HAD TO DESIGN A 3-BEDROOM APARTMENT IN A VERY TIGHT SITE WITH ALL BASIC SPACES WITH SUFFICIENT VENTILATION AND LIGHTING ON WHICH WE DELIVERED EXCELLENTLY.
WE DEVELOPED A 3D TO GIVE THE CLIENT AN IDEA OF THE PROJECT TAKING SEVERAL CONDITIONS LIKE THE SITE CONTRAINT, ADJACENT BUILDING STRUCTURES, WEATHER CONDITIONS,AS WELL AS BUILDING CODES.
